Samantha A. Carl-Yoder is the Policy Director and co-chair of the international practice at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP. With nearly 20 years of experience at the U.S. State Department, she has worked in Washington, D.C., and various embassies worldwide, focusing on building strategic partnerships for companies expanding both domestically and internationally. Samantha possesses a sophisticated understanding of foreign policy and maintains deep relationships with sovereign governments, third-party institutions, and global media organizations. She has successfully guided companies into new markets and developed bilateral partnerships while managing senior relationships with dignitaries for multinational clients. Notably, she led international government relations for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) company, engaging with high-ranking officials on commercial projects across South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America. Prior to her private sector role, Samantha served as a foreign service officer in Indonesia, Peru, Myanmar, and Brazil, and held senior positions in both the Trump and Obama administrations.
