Saudi Arabian company has started to construct CHP in Uzbekistan
The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan announced the start of an investment project to build a combined heat and power plant in the Syrdarya region, which was implemented by a company from Saudi Arabia, ACWA Power, Uzbek mass media reported.
It is planned that the new station will be twice efficient the existing Syrdarya CHP due to the modern equipment. The investor will equip the station with the latest models of combined cycle gas turbines with a production of about 10 billion kWh of electric energy per year.
ACWA Power is a developer, investor, co-owner, and operator of a portfolio of power plants and desalinated water production plants that are currently represented in 10 countries, including the middle East and North Africa, South Africa, and Southeast Asia.
