ITFC, Turkmenistan Discuss Expansion of Trade Finance Cooperation

Adib Y. Al-Aama, CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), met with Rahimberdi Jepbarov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of ITFC’s 2025 Annual Meetings, according to the ITFC press service. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in trade financing and support sustainable economic growth in Turkmenistan. Special attention was given to the TCCA+ initiative, a regional program aimed at strengthening trade ties and fostering economic integration among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Central Asia. The program includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, with the goal of boosting economic development through enhanced trade and regional partnerships.
