Mr. Edzwan is a Professional Engineer by profession and a MBA graduate who has been working in construction and project development for the last 18 years. He started his career as a trained civil engineer designing and supervising road transport network projects and also power plants projects in Malaysia and Indonesia. In his capacity to manage mega projects he was involved in the oil and gas sector managing the build of 2 units of DP3 offshore construction vessels in China, and the construction of 4 units of offshore gas platforms in Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area. The various engineering and construction knowledge, and experience, has enable Mr. Edzwan to be part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) where he is currently responsible to lead the Bank’s energy sector projects over the last 8 years. His is currently undertaking the Central Asia portfolio, through the IsDB Regional Hub of Almaty, Kazakhstan. Few notable Central Asia regional integration and connectivity projects financed by the IsDB which are led by Mr. Edzwan are CASA-1000 Project and TAPI Gas Pipeline Project.
