Abdelkader Djeddou is a geophysicist, having graduated from the Moscow Institute of Geology and Geophysics. After working for five years as a field geophysicist in the Sahara Desert of Algeria for SONAREM, he began his thesis at the Institute of Geophysics of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) where he obtained his PhD in Geophysics in 1990. He then worked with Petroconsultants (now IHS) in Geneva for seven years as editor of the CIS Oil & Gas Scouting Report and then at ABB in Zurich as Project Manager for three years. He joined CGG in Paris in 1998, where he has held several positions including: Sales Manager for Software Sales; In 2003 Business Development Manager at the Seismic Processing Business Line; In 2004 was appointed VP Business Development in the EAME Region, representing all Business Lines of CGG; In 2010 was appointed VP Geomarket Director for Central Asia & Turkey; In 2017 was appoint Director of Veritas Caspian, a CGG-Kazakh JV. Since April 2022 he has been working as Business Development Consultant at Xcalibur Multiphysics.
