Behrooz Baikalizadeh is the Head of the Petroleum Studies Department at the OPEC Secretariat. Mr. Baikalizadeh has more than 30 years of experience in the oil industry. Before assuming the tasks at OPEC, Mr. Baikalizadeh had an impressive career at Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum, where he held various key executive positions. Throughout his career, he holds different political positions amongst which National representative to OPEC and the GECF. Mr. Baikalizadeh has proven to be a specialist in the short to medium-term aspects of the oil market and has led negotiations in the context of global climate change. Mr Baikalizadeh holds a Master's Degree (MA) in Economics. Mr. Baikalizadeh is the writer of multiple international publications focusing on the oil market and OPEC in particular.
