UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan
H.E. Ahmed Al Hameli was appointed as Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) in January 2021. His Excellency began his career within UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 2002. In 2002-2006 H.E. held the position of desk officer in the European Affairs department in the MOFA of the UAE. From 2006-2009 H.E. was appointed as Congressional Affairs Officer at the UAE Embassy in Washington D.C. Within the period from 2009-2010, H.E. was a member of IRENA Task Force at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office, and World Energy Forum. H.E. has been in charge of Political, Economic, Media Sections, and Trade Attaché at the UAE Embassy in Berlin from 2010-2012, and starting from 2012-2015-worked as Deputy Chief of Mission at the UAE Embassy in Berlin. H.E. served as Deputy Director of the American Affairs Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2015-2016. From 2016-2019 H.E. was a Director of West Asia Department in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2019-2021 H.E. headed Department of East Asia and Pacific Affairs in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. participated in the UAE Relief Campaigns to Afghanistan during the Afghanistan War in November 2001 as a volunteer. H.E.Ahmed Al Hameli graduated from the School of International Services, American University in Washington D.C. and has Master Degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution in 2009 at the School of International Services Washington D.C. and Master Degree in Strategic and Security studies in 2017 at National Defense College in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
