More than 20 years of experience in the area of sustainable development in Europe and the CIS region with progressive leadership responsibilities. In-depth understanding of the UN system and excellent skills in partnership building. Strong expertise in programme management, cross-sector collaboration and resource mobilization, with specific experience in government and private sector financing. Elena worked as Senior Programme Coordinator for the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub, Deputy Country Director in UNDP Ukraine and Programme Analyst in UNDP Bulgaria. Prior to joining UN, Elena was a business development consultant, working both for private industry and local government. She holds Master’s degree in International Law and Foreign Trade from the University for National and World Economy and master’s degree in Microelectronics from the Technical Chemical University.
