Topic: Commodities for the Energy Transition: New trends and investment opportunities

During her 15 years career with S&P Global and heritage companies, Ms. Sima has spent over eight years with the Advisory practice across Upstream, Automotive, and Transportation gaining exposure to our product offerings in these sectors and broader understanding of the dynamics impacting the energy industry value chain. Since joining the Upstream Solutions Research group in 2017, she has increasingly focused on the transformational pathways taken by oil and gas companies as they embrace the Energy Transition and the implications for their strategies and portfolios. Ms. Sima has extensive exposure to upstream strategies and M&A activity support, low-carbon strategies and emissions reduction pledges, financial and operational performance benchmarking, IPO preparation and. Prior to S&P Global, Ms. Sima has worked for a consultancy boutique on the implementation of a defined-benefit pension scheme, social welfare, and health insurance for the local employees of TotalEnergies across Africa and Latin America. Ms. Sima holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (France) with a specialization in Petroleum Economics and Management from the IFP School (France), a Master of Science in Consulting from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University (France), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Faculty of Cybernetics (Romania). A Romanian national, she is fluent in English and French.
