Deputy Resident Representative UNDP Turkmenistan
Tomica has more than 20 years of experience in development work with government, non-government, and business sectors. His journey with UNDP started more than 15 years ago, during which he covered various scopes and complexity positions. He was Deputy resident representative in Kyrgyzstan in 2020-2021, leading both programs and operations of the office. During his tenure as a Programme officer, he led vibrant program portfolios focusing on digital transformation, effective (local and national) governance, social cohesion, inclusive growth, climate change, and environmental protection. He supported the UNDP offices in strategic positioning towards the Government, IFI’s, civil society, and other relevant development partners. Tomica brings experience from the Governmental sector, where he dealt with Economic and Fiscal policy coordination in sustainable development, capital investments, business environment, digital governance, and environmental protection. Lastly, Tomica’s experience in the corporate business sector relates to working on strategic positioning, developing new products and services, and coordinating complex projects aimed at opening new growth opportunities. Tomica holds a master’s degree in business economics and finance.
