Senior Business Development Specialist, US Export-Import Bank
John Ahn is the senior business development specialist for Asia and the Pacific from the Office of Global Business Development (GBD) of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM). John primarily engages with foreign buyers, financial institutions and local trade associations to raise EXIM’s brand awareness and develop international relationships that could potentially advance U.S. business interest abroad through EXIM’s support. Prior to this role, John was a loan officer for the Export Credit Insurance division at EXIM. In this capacity he underwrote short-term credit facilities for U.S. exporters ranging from small to medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. Companies vary across industries including energy, transportation, agribusiness and environmental sectors. John holds a Master’s degree in International Relations & International Economics from School of Advanced International Studies(SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
