Ambassador Richard Kauzlarich, a Distinguished Visiting Professor at George Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government, teaches courses on energy security geopolitics and public policy. He co-directs the Center for Energy Science and Policy (CESP). Previously, he served as National Intelligence Officer for Europe at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. With a 32-year Foreign Service career, he held roles such as United States Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan. Kauzlarich has authored reports and contributed to publications on U.S. policy in regions like the Transcaucasus and the South Caucasus.
