President & Chief Executive Officer, Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS)
Benjamin Gerber has held a variety of positions in the energy and business sectors. From 2001 to 2009, they were the Owner of J&B Sealcoating and Paving. In 2009, he moved on to become a Legal and Public Policy Analyst at National Wind, where they analyzed regulatory compliance and monitored wind energy legislation. In 2010, Mr. Gerber became a Government Relations professional at Fredrikson & Byron, where he worked with clients to understand their legislative needs and devise strategies to achieve success. From 2011 to 2012, he weas an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Mary, Bismarck North Dakota. Finally, from 2015 to present, Mr. Gerber has been the Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS). At M-RETS, they oversee a proprietary web-based database platform that tracks Renewable Energy Certificates (“RECs”) and Renewable Thermal Certificates (“RTCs”).
