Results of 7 Months: Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector discusses industry development tasks
On August 2nd, the Central Building of Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Complex hosted a reporting meeting dedicated to the results of the work carried out over the past seven months of the current year. Participants of the meeting discussed the implementation of tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the country’s oil and gas sector at a regular digital Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on August 1st. The reporting meeting was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov. The Vice-Prime Minister noted that Arkadagly Hero-Serdar places high trust in oil and gas workers and creates all necessary conditions for the improvement and stable development of the complex. In this context, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov pointed to the increase in production capacity, as well as the implementation of advanced equipment and innovative technologies across enterprises under the sector's jurisdiction. During the meeting, reports on the performance results for the seven months of the current year were presented by heads of entities comprising the oil and gas complex: the Chairman of the State concern «Türkmennebit» Guvanch Agajanov, the State Minister — the Chairman of the State concern «Turkmengas» Maksat Babayev, the General Director of the company «TAPI Pipeline Company Ltd.» Muhammetmyrat Amanov and the Chairman of the State State corporation «Türkmengeologiýa» Berdimyrat Amanov. They were joined by heads of specialized associations, departments, and enterprises. Special attention during the meeting was paid to the construction of the main section of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India gas pipeline, Serhetabat–Herat, named «Arkadagyň ak ýoly», while maintaining strict compliance with international standards. Participants analyzed in detail the instructions for further boosting the capacity of the oil and gas sector. The development roadmap includes stepping up geological exploration and development drilling to discover new fields, as well as increasing the volume and quality of extracted raw materials. Additionally, diversifying export routes, strengthening mutually beneficial international partnerships, and systematically improving the living and working conditions of industry workers were highlighted as key priorities. The Vice-Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov emphasized the importance of continuous control over the implementation of major investment projects, the digitalization of production processes, and the fulfillment of set plans taking seasonal weather conditions into account. In completion of the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan defined the priority tasks standing before the State concerns «Türkmennebit», «Türkmengaz» and the State corporation «Türkmengeologiýa». The Vice-Prime Minister wished to the workers of the branch new labor achievements in the realization of large-scale plans for the development of the oil and gas industry set by Arkadagly Hero-Serdar.
