Chief Executive Officer, Dragon Oil
Abdulkarim AlMaazmi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Oil in May 2025. He brings over 40 years of leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, having held senior executive positions across the region. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as President and General Manager of BP UAE, where he led upstream operations in partnership with ADNOC and the Government of Sharjah. In 2018, Mr AlMaazmi joined Dragon Oil as Executive Director of Exploration and New Ventures, overseeing the company’s exploration and business development activities across the MENA region. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. AlMaazmi has served on the boards of ADCO, ADMA, ADGAS, NGSCO, Bunduq, and other leading industry organizations. He is widely recognized for his strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and commitment to developing national talent. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. AlMaazmi is leading Dragon Oil’s continued growth by advancing operational excellence, strengthening strategic partnerships expanding the company’s international portfolio, and delivering sustainable value for its stakeholders.
