Sapar Bekjanov is an experienced professional and executive with many years of experience in the oil and gas industry. In 2002, he graduated from the Faculty of Oil and Gas of the Turkmen Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Oil and Gas Field Development and Operation, qualifying as a mining engineer. He began his career in 2002 with the Lebapgazchykarysh division of the State Concern Türkmengaz, serving as a process facilities operator and subsequently progressing through a range of engineering, operational and management positions. From 2008 to 2013, he served as Head and Deputy Head of the North Balguyy Production Unit for Gas Production and Transportation at Lebapgazchykarysh. From 2013 to 2025, he served as Head of the North Balguyy Production Unit. From December 2025 to April 2026, he was Chief Engineer of the Lebapgazchykarysh division of the State Concern Türkmengaz. Since 4 April 2026, Sapar Bekjanov has served as Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Türkmengaz. He has extensive professional expertise in oil and gas field development, natural gas production and transportation, production operations, and the management of oil and gas production facilities. In accordance with Decree No. 611 of the President of Turkmenistan dated 15 December 2025, he was awarded the jubilee medal “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna” (“30th Anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan”).
