Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan
Mämmetguly Astanaгulov graduated from Osh State University (Kyrgyz Republic) in 2007 with a degree in Economics. From 2008 to 2010, he worked in the Treasury Department of the Main Financial Directorate of Ashgabat. Between 2010 and 2017, he held a position in the Budget Department of the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan. From 2017 to 2020, he worked in the State Budget Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. From 2020 to 2022, he served in the Economic Development Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. From 2022 to October 2024, he worked in the Computer Technology Department of the Presidential Administration. In 2024, by Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. Since 7 February 2025, he has served as Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
