PETRONAS strengthens co-operation with Turkmenistan

The delegation of PETRONAS (Malaysia) headed by the Vice President for International Assets met with the State Minister - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" and specialists of the Concern in the building of Turkmenistan's oil and gas complex in Ashgabat.

At the meeting, representatives of the Turkmen side noted that successful implementation of the strategy aimed at innovative development of the country's energy complex and gas sector, strengthening ties with foreign partners is one of the strategic successes of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed issues of expanding and strengthening cooperation on the ongoing projects.

The delegation also met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in charge of the energy sector. PETRONAS representatives expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadag, President of Turkmenistan, for creating favourable conditions for work in Turkmenistan and developing bilateral ties in the gas sector. Large investment projects are being implemented in this direction, which contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development and well-being, strengthening international co-operation.

The PETRONAS delegation continues its visit to Turkmenistan, during which the guests will also visit the Balkan velayat.
