In Turkmenistan, a ceremony was held to inaugurate new facilities of the State Energy Institute.
A new academic building with a capacity for 2,000 students, a dormitory for 800 students, a sports complex, and the "Täze kuwwat" monument were constructed.
The event was attended by the mayor of Mary province, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Affairs, members of the Mejlis (parliament), representatives of public organizations, and international institutions.
During the ceremony, a message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out, addressed to schoolchildren, students, and education workers on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.
The new academic building includes 18 general classrooms, 28 practical training rooms, 6 computer labs, 6 language rooms, and 57 specialized laboratories.
The building also houses the Scientific and Production Center for Renewable Energy Sources, a museum, a library, a robotics and artificial intelligence center, and a 500-seat conference hall.
Eco-friendly technologies were used in the construction: solar panels with a capacity of 132 kW were installed on the roof of the dormitory, and near the monument, a 30 kW wind power station and a 15 kW solar power station were built.
The construction was carried out by the company Röwşen under the order of the Ministry of Energy.
