More than 870 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated at the power plant in Avaza.

The State Power Plant "Avaza," located in the national tourist zone, has been providing uninterrupted electricity for several years not only to the Balkan velayat (region) but also to other regions of the country, reports the newspaper "Turkmenistan."

Power engineers of Turkmenbashi worked with high efficiency during the reporting period of 2025. Since the beginning of the year, they have generated 870 million 506 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity.

This figure exceeded the plan by 20 million 506 thousand kilowatt-hours and amounted to 102% of the target. Thus, the growth rate of electricity production at the enterprise reached 110%.

The station was solemnly commissioned in 2010. It is equipped with two gas turbines with a total capacity of 254.2 megawatts. Of particular importance is the possibility of their operation on diesel fuel if necessary, which ensures the effective functioning of the station.

In addition to the gas turbine power unit, 15 small substations operate at the power plant. The facilities are equipped with electrical equipment utilizing technologies that comply with world standards.
