
Trading on SCRMET: Deals Conclude Worth About $32 Million
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) concluded export deals totaling $31.69 million on Thursday, according to SCRMET.
Representatives from the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine purchased urea grade B for a total of $31.65 million, while a representative from Afghanistan bought sodium chloride for $40,000. The sold products were produced by the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern.
For the domestic market, Turkmen entrepreneurs acquired oil waste for 6.64 million manats and a thick licorice root extract for 4.2 million manats.
Founded in 1994, SCRMET serves as the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
