Serdar Berdimuhamedov Discussed Cooperation Development With Rustam Minnikhanov

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, met with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, on Tuesday in Ashgabat during his working visit. They discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov conveyed greetings from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and sincere wishes to the people of Turkmenistan. Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended reciprocal wishes to the Russian leader and emphasized the importance of strengthening Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation.

Special attention was given to cultural and humanitarian ties. The President of Turkmenistan thanked Minnikhanov for his participation in the international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet, Magtymguly Pyragy.

The two sides noted the long-standing friendly relations between the peoples, based on cultural closeness and mutual respect. They discussed priority areas for further partnership, including cooperation in education, culture, and the arts.

Berdimuhamedov invited Minnikhanov to participate in a forum in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

At the end of the meeting, the leaders exchanged wishes for health and success, expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of multifaceted cooperation.
