
The foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan held political consultations in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Wednesday. The foreign ministers of both countries, Rashid Meredov and Jeenbek Kulubaev, led the delegations, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The talks took place in a constructive atmosphere, addressing a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The participants also reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements and identified priority areas for further cooperation.
The ministers emphasized that regular meetings between the heads of state drive the development of bilateral partnerships. During the consultations, they highlighted the importance of the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared at Turkmenistan's initiative, and the 30th anniversary of the country’s neutrality. The sides discussed their joint actions in this context.
