
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the U.S., Meret Orazov, met on Tuesday in Washington with Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council (USTBC) Eric Stewart and representatives from leading American companies, including Boeing, John Deere, Case New Holland, Palo Alto, Climate Compass, ExxonMobil, Oxbow, Sig Sauer, and Coca-Cola. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to expand economic cooperation and develop business initiatives between the countries, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the U.S.
The ambassador emphasized the embassy's readiness to actively support interactions between American companies and Turkmenistan and highlighted the importance of finding new avenues for partnership. Participants in the meeting expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and their desire for joint achievements in the business sector.
Orazov presented a report dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, initiated by the country.
The meeting also discussed planned events aimed at further strengthening diplomatic dialogue and cooperation.
Earlier, on December 16, 2024, a Turkmen-American Business Forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
